Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure

Job Description

We are looking for an Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure at Flexential to oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in data centers. The role involves ensuring uptime of 99.999% or higher, leading a team, and driving efficiency improvements across markets. Responsibilities include coaching the team, managing operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining compliance with SLAs.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Own and manage all data center operations for mission-critical equipment.
• Lead and develop a team of managers, engineers, and staff.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements and best practices.
• Create and follow operational procedures and policies.
• Oversee disaster recovery exercises and facility maintenance.
• Generate reports on facility performance and customer utilization.
• Conduct facility tours and training for operations staff.
• Configure monitoring systems for equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in management and critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in data center operations and management.
• Advanced keyboard skills and ability to lift heavy objects.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and travel occasionally.

Base Pay Range

• Est. annual salary range: $112,700 - $145,400.
