Director of Finance

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Director of Finance to lead our financial operations at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our hotel to ensure financial objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage cash flow and communicate related issues to management.
• Coordinate and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial data to advise management on financial objectives.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and audit internal financial controls.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis as per company requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (MBA preferred).
• Strong financial acumen and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
