Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer II - Sensor Test and Evaluation to join our team at the EarthScope Consortium. In this role, you will manage and implement various field projects, providing technical support for geophysical instruments and networks. You will work on projects of different complexities, collaborate with team members, and contribute to the development of new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement geophysical projects and assist with multiple projects.
  • Solve technical issues related to sensor hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Assist in the design and testing of new systems.
  • Evaluate instrument design and data to determine system adequacy.
  • Document activities and metadata using established protocols.
  • Participate in collaborative projects within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
  • Proficiency in hand and power tools, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Information

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Travel up to 30% may be required. The salary ranges from $74,400 to $92,900 annually, depending on experience.
