Job Description
The Fitness Studio Team Lead at VASA Fitness is responsible for creating an "UPLIFT" experience by offering an inclusive, accessible, and on-trend fitness experience, maximizing STUDIO and Group Fitness usage. This role involves ensuring STUDIO and Group Fitness KPI's are achieved from growing active STUDIO memberships/class counts as well as Group Fitness usage. The ideal candidate will build and maintain competitive, on-trend, and convenient class schedules while ensuring exceptional experiences through high energy classes that motivate, UPLIFT, and create community.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting and Staffing: Recruits talent to ensure schedules are staffed with the right instructors and coaches; actively recruits and acquires talent via VASA employees, VASA members, and local community members.
- Achieving Results, Maximizing STUDIO/Group Fitness Usage: Drives performance that results in all financial targets and KPI's being achieved, or ideally, exceeded. Drives STUDIO and Group Fitness attendance through management of class counts, coaching instructors on how to drive attendance, and attending classes for evaluation and guidance.
- Deliver A World-Class Member Experience: Ensures all equipment and technology is reported for repair, and that the STUDIO space and Group Fitness rooms are clean and safe. Facilitates continuous training, mentoring, cross-departmental communication, and follow-up with instructors and other team leads.
- Trains, Coaches and Supports Ongoing Instructor Development: Conducts instructor evaluations, delivers feedback and coaching, and facilitates practice sessions to refine and expand instructors' skill sets.
- Delivers Care and Creates Connection: Ensures members and guests receive an exceptional experience through high energy classes that motivate, UPLIFT, and create community. Works with GM to ensure member and guest concerns are addressed.
