Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join Joyce University's team on a part-time basis in Draper, UT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to facility repair and campus maintenance. This position requires proficiency in multiple trades, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at addressing maintenance issues efficiently, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain campus aesthetics.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify and resolve potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.
• Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, furniture assembly, snow removal, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to lift heavy objects and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.

Compensation: $22-25 per hour
