Job Description
The Quality and Food Safety Supervisor at Barton Brands of Kentucky will lead efforts to continually improve Quality and Food Safety. Responsibilities include developing direct reports, creating a culture of quality, ensuring compliance with regulations, improving quality performance, and leading food safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for quality and food safety.
- Lead safe work practices and a culture of prevention.
- Utilize the PDS system for continuous skill improvement and talent development.
- Implement auditing to measure and track Quality performance.
- Improve the Quality/Food Safety System in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
- Standardize test methods and reduce variability in results.
- Lead food safety meetings and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Engage all employees in quality and food safety processes for customer satisfaction.
Qualifications/Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and PC skills.
- Change management ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High comfort using technology and systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- ISO/HACCP implementation/management experience.
- Food Safety Certification or experience with Global Food Safety standards.
- Experience with internal/external auditors.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
