Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Vet Cadets Teacher to join our team at Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon Inc. As a member of our teaching staff, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include monitoring classroom activities, implementing educational programs, and supporting children's growth and development.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor and respond to events in the classroom and play areas.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans.
  • Create a nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to children.
  • Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's progress.
  • Utilize various teaching methods to enhance children's abilities.
  • Lead the daily classroom routine for children under 3 years old.

Education & Experience

  • Completion of early childhood education training at a college or university.
  • OR possess a state or nationally recognized credential related to infant and toddler care.
  • OR have qualifying teaching experience in a child care center.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in child development and early childhood education.

Physical Demands

  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods.
  • Conditions include exposure to playful and noisy environments.
