Job Description

Aldi is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team. This full-time position offers an average of 30-35 hours per week, with a starting wage of $23.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders from stores.
  • Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
  • Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise in preparation for shipment, as well as unload incoming shipments.
  • Participate in warehouse inventory counts and ensure warehouse appearance standards.
  • Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
  • Provide input to warehouse management for process improvements.
  • Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
  • Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare products for store deliveries.
  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
  • Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
