Accounting Specialist

Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is currently seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various technical accounting functions to support the financial operations of the Regional Council or its subdivisions. This role will involve tasks such as account reconciliation, report preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assisting with payroll functions. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining compliance with accounting procedures and policies while ensuring accuracy and reliability in all accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical accounting functions including account reconciliation, report preparation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist with payroll functions and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and policies.
• Maintain accuracy and reliability in all accounting tasks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited two-year institution with a major in accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, budgeting processes, and internal controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
