Job Description

We are hiring a Certified Surgical Tech First Assist to join our team at MUSC. In this role, you will collaborate with the surgical team, under a physician's direction, to ensure patient care and safety during surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the sterile field, assisting in exposure and other technical functions, and complying with hospital policies and regulations. You will play a crucial role in assisting the surgeon to perform safe operations and providing effective communication with the team.

Additional Requirements

  • Education: 2-year Associates degree or 4-year Bachelor degree in surgical technology. Certification Required.
  • Experience: Two years of operating room technician experience required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current CPR certification; Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Required.
