Job Description

Apple Tree Kids, a Christian-based preschool and primary school education provider, is seeking a full-time Child Care Director for its Chesapeake location. This role, with a competitive salary starting from $40,000 to $50,000*BOE, offers a range of benefits including 401k company match, group health insurance, paid leave, and childcare discount.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, and promote all child care activities across different programs.
• Oversee staff training, performance evaluations, and motivation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations related to child care operations.
• Maintain safety procedures for children and facilities, including First Aid kit inventory.
• Manage program budget, organize events, and uphold the Apple Tree mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in coordinating or supervising child care programs.
• Completion of CPR, First Aid, and training within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Leadership qualities, conflict resolution skills, and positive role model traits.
