Responsibilities

• Inspect civil, municipal, architectural, structural, and environmental construction projects to guarantee adherence to regulations and contract requirements.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications, participating in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, track contractor pay item quantities, and conduct final inspections, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience, preferably with KDOT inspection background.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, safety regulations, and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and documents, performing material testing, and organizing inspection data.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as needed.

Tools and Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, construction-related software, and equipment such as tape measures and testing devices.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work on construction sites and travel within Kansas.
