Job Description

We are looking for a highly responsible Emergency Management Coordinator to oversee and administer the Emergency Management Department at Clear Creek County, Colorado. In this role, you will be in charge of coordinating emergency operations, planning, and training to ensure effective responses to emergencies and disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update emergency, mitigation, recovery, and continuity policies and plans.
  • Coordinate emergency operations and disaster services, including managing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • Conduct training and exercises for staff and external partners.
  • Establish and maintain emergency management funding through grants and assist in grant applications.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in ICS, HSEEP, FEMA Professional Development, and First Aid/CPR.
  • Considerable knowledge of emergency management principles and EOC functions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Physical & Work Environment

The role involves sitting, standing, and responding to emergencies that may expose you to various conditions. The job is based in an office setting but may require outdoor activities and exposure to stressful situations.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $26.51-33.14 per hour.
