Engineer

Job Description

The Elser Hotel & Residences is seeking a dedicated Engineer, Level 1, to ensure the property's optimal condition with minimal disruption to guests and staff. This position involves maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and electrical systems
• Test and record readings of equipment
• Replace and program televisions as necessary
• Carry out various repairs including plumbing, electrical, furniture, pumps, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain repair and maintenance records and ensure compliance with codes
• Perform swimming pool and spa maintenance, painting, sheetrock repair, wall covering repair, and electronic lock system maintenance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field
• One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field is beneficial
• Effective communication skills and ability to multitask
• Guest-oriented approach and willingness to attend required meetings and training
• Physical ability to handle heavy work and maintain high standards of grooming and appearance
