Engineer

Job Description

The Engineer, Level 1, at Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. This role involves HVAC system maintenance, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, and electrical systems
• Take readings on equipment, test cooling tower, and replace televisions and light fixtures as needed
• Perform furniture, plumbing, and kitchen equipment repairs
• Understand blueprints and wiring diagrams and ensure work meets local, state, and Federal codes
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas, as well as paint and perform wall repairs
• Program and repair hotel electronic lock systems

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field
• One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
• Trade school or College coursework in a related field is helpful
• Flexibility for long hours and physical exertion up to 100 pounds
• Effective communication skills, multitasking ability, and problem-solving skills
• Attentive, friendly, and service-oriented approach towards guests and employees
• Compliance with hotel standards and safety regulations
