Job Description
The Ketch Inn & Marina is seeking a dedicated Engineering Manager for the seasonal period from April to September. As part of our team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department and ensure the property and assets are maintained in a safe and excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing plans to maintain property and equipment in good repair.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Supervise and train Engineering staff in Customer Service, SOPs, and more.
- Create and manage Engineering staff schedules.
- Develop and adhere to the annual department budget.
- Implement a preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
- Participate in energy conservation programs and safety inspections.
- Handle room maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a related field.
- Stationary engineer’s license where required.
- Skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Capable of heavy lifting and long hours.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and multitasking skills.
