Team One Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Auditor. We are looking for an objective Internal Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting rules and procedures and demonstrate sound judgement.

As a full-time Internal Auditor, you will play a vital role in strengthening the organization by bringing awareness to deficiencies that exist and providing recommendations for change designed to address applicable risks and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance.
• Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans for approval by the Board of Directors.
• Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts to detect deviations, inaccuracies, and compliance concerns.
• Preparing and presenting audit findings that reflect substantiated results and formulating workable solutions supported by adequate evidence.
• Acting as an objective source of independent advice for management to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement throughout the organization.
• Identifying loopholes, recommending risk aversion measures, and cost savings.
• Maintaining open and honest communication with management regularly.
• Conducting branch cash and procedural audits.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of previous auditing experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, procedures, and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Starting hourly wage will be determined by multiple factors including experience and qualifications.
