Lead Grain Elevator Operator - 1st Shift at PHM Brands

We are looking for a dedicated Lead Grain Elevator Operator to oversee all aspects of elevator operations at our facility. As the Lead Operator, you will manage bin inventory, direct the crew, assist the manager with project tasks, ensure paperwork accuracy, promote safety guidelines, weigh and receive trucks, and handle sanitation duties. This position is for the first shift.

Lead Elevator Operator Responsibilities:

• Monitor and verify bin inventory levels.
• Verify product and truck identification.
• Direct the daily work of the crew.
• Ensure accuracy of daily paperwork.
• Promote workplace safety.
• Communicate and facilitate proper shift handoff.
• Act as a liaison between the Mill and Elevator Departments in the absence of the Elevator Manager.
• Perform all elevator duties, including product receiving, binning, and transfers.

Lead Elevator Operator Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in grain handling and computer skills are advantageous.
• On-the-job and safety training provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency in English.
• Capability to work independently and in varying shifts.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and 18-wheeler driving if required.
• Effective communication skills for crew directions.
• Comfortable with heights up to 80 ft.

• Physical tasks including lifting, standing, and climbing.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
• Employment in manufacturing equipment environment with potential hazards.
• Ladder climbing may be necessary.
