Job Description
GENESYS Health Alliance is currently looking for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail in Madison, Florida. As a Correctional Nurse, you will provide medical care for detainees, administer treatments, and ensure the well-being of patients in a correctional setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer routine and emergency medical care to detainees.
- Monitor vital signs and provide necessary treatments as ordered by medical providers.
- Complete initial and ongoing screenings of individuals upon admission.
- Ensure proper medication administration and document treatment protocols.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment and Basic Life Support certification.
- Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screening and background checks.
