Job Description
OnPoint Medical Group is seeking an outstanding LSRT to join our urgent care team. This position is PRN and will require a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar job function. The chosen candidate should have LSRT certification and Medical Assistant training, as well as a BLS certification. The LSRT will be responsible for providing patient care, including all medical assistant duties, and performing X-rays. Additional responsibilities include preparing rooms, instruments, and supplies, maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations by adhering to policies, and protocols, among others. The position involves sitting approximately 20% of the day, with evening and weekend work as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient chief complaint and vital signs prior to them being seen by a provider.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensure that stock of supplies in patient care areas is maintained.
- Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform lab tests, EKGs, X-Rays, and other functions as directed by the provider on duty.
- Orient and train incoming LSRT/MA techs on patient care duties and X-ray completion.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the entire center, making sure all rooms are stocked and clean.
Requirements
- LSRT certification and Medical Assistant training.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar job function.
- BLS certification.
