Non CDL Driver I

Job Description

Jennings Builders Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is looking for a Non-CDL Driver I to join their team. This full-time position involves delivering materials to job sites, inspecting and maintaining the truck, and ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Although not a CDL driver, some certification may be required based on State law requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates safely and ensures a positive work environment.
• Checks orders for accuracy, organizes and secures load.
• Obtains approval for proper count and conditions of loads.
• Delivers materials to customer satisfaction and maintains good housekeeping in the yard and warehouse.
• Completes paperwork like delivery tickets and credit slips.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists in unloading material returned for credit.
• Follows supervisor guidelines, completes daily equipment inspections, and relays messages to customers.
• Complies with company policies, guidelines, and completes assigned trainings.
• May be responsible for deliveries subject to DOT and FMCSA regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience, lumber dumping experience preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle conflict and solve problems constructively.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and physical ability to lift heavy loads.
• Proficiency with or willingness to learn current technologies.
