Quality and Food Safety Supervisor

Job Description

The Quality and Food Safety Supervisor at Barton Brands of Kentucky will lead efforts to continually improve Quality and Food Safety. Responsibilities include developing direct reports, creating a culture of quality, ensuring compliance with regulations, improving quality performance, and leading food safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for quality and food safety.
• Lead safe work practices and a culture of prevention.
• Utilize the PDS system for continuous skill improvement and talent development.
• Implement auditing to measure and track Quality performance.
• Improve the Quality/Food Safety System in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
• Standardize test methods and reduce variability in results.
• Lead food safety meetings and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Engage all employees in quality and food safety processes for customer satisfaction.

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and PC skills.
• Change management ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High comfort using technology and systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ISO/HACCP implementation/management experience.
• Food Safety Certification or experience with Global Food Safety standards.
• Experience with internal/external auditors.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
