Registered Nurse - Float Pool 3

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool 3 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. As a Float Pool Clinical Nurse, you will provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care through an interprofessional approach. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patients' physical condition and nursing needs.
• Develop collaborative care plans with patients and the interprofessional team.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned specialty and perform all RN functions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
• Maintain positive relationships with physicians and team members to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years of hire.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience with Float Pool and/or Resource teams in healthcare settings.
• Current Wisconsin RN or compact nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move freely and lift up to fifty pounds without assistance.
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing duties.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
• Possible exposure to hazardous materials and communicable diseases.
• Use of computers throughout the workday.
