RN Poison Information Specialist (Uncertified)

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate RN Poison Information Specialist (Uncertified) to join our dedicated team at Denver Health. As an essential part of the RMPDS Poison Call Center, you will provide crucial phone consultation and education to individuals and healthcare professionals regarding poison exposures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments to determine the nature of poisoning events.
• Offer first aid, prevention advice, and treatment recommendations to the public and healthcare providers.
• Document calls accurately and effectively manage call queue.
• Provide information to the public and maintain records of frequently asked questions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a medical call center or similar setting.
• Current RN license issued by DORA.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations with calmness.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills.
