Job Description
We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join the Amazon Data Services, Inc. team. As part of the AWS Hardware Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in creating compute and storage server designs for Amazon’s web services. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, solve complex challenges, and contribute to industry advancements by developing innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of server products in collaboration with various partners.
- Understand customer technical needs and business objectives to architect scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure product quality and performance.
- Monitor server fleet post-launch to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of hardware development experience in compute and storage server architecture.
- Expertise in server technologies like Thermal/Mechanical design, high speed bus design, CPU/GPU, BIOS, and networking.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in project management and interdisciplinary product design.
- Startup experience and server validation expertise.
- 15+ years of hardware development focusing on server architecture.
