Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will help develop and maintain secure and user-friendly encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data both inside and outside the cloud.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers for foundational libraries using C and Rust.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to deliver and support cryptographic tools and libraries.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience programming in at least one software language.
- Design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
- Leadership or mentorship experience in engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
