Job Description
We are hiring a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about practical cryptography, enjoy designing secure software solutions, and are excited about the opportunity to work on open source encryption tools, this role is for you. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building secure and user-friendly tools to help AWS customers protect their data.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle of AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, and implementing new features.
- Operate AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust for highly secure services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with at least one programming language.
- Strong design or architecture background with reliability and scaling experience.
- Previous mentorship or team leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
