Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in a full-time capacity. As a key member of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will contribute to building and maintaining secure, open-source encryption tools and libraries to help customers protect their sensitive data inside and outside the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate and support globally distributed servers and customers while delivering secure and reliable services using C and Rust.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software programming language.
- Leadership experience in design or architecture of new systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
