Join the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. as a Senior Software Development Engineer focusing on AWS Cryptography. In this role, you will work on building secure and user-friendly encryption tools and libraries for AWS services, helping customers protect their sensitive data and meet compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, from defining and prioritizing features to testing and implementation.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers to deliver foundational libraries in C and Rust for highly secure AWS services.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to develop and support cryptographic tools and libraries used by internal and external customers worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in leading design and architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience with at least one software programming language.
- Prior experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in the full software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
