We are hiring a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. Are you passionate about contributing to open source and excited about keeping millions of customers' data safe through cryptography? As a Senior Software Development Engineer with the AWS Cryptography team, you will play a key role in securing web services and enabling customers to confidently transition sensitive workloads to the cloud with top-notch security features.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate a globally distributed AWS business, delivering foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure top-tier security.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to provide secure cryptographic tools and libraries to internal and external customers worldwide.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
