Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on open-source encryption tools and libraries that enable millions of customers to protect their sensitive data in the cloud securely.

Responsibilities

• Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including feature definition, design, testing, and implementation.
• Operate and scale globally distributed servers and systems to deliver secure cryptographic tools.
• Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure top-notch security for AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language with design and architecture experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
