Substance Use Disorder Clinician

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary clinical care to clients in SUD programming to assist in achieving treatment goals.
• Work as a vital part of the treatment team under the Program Director's supervision.
• Facilitate group, family, and individual clinical care using therapeutic approaches and trauma-informed practices.
• Ensure accurate documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and community partner meetings.
• Meet the Clinical Competencies to the satisfaction of the Program Director.
• Address personal recovery matters in alignment with the agency's recovery approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Current State of Michigan license as a Social Worker (LLMSW/LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC/LPC).
• Previous experience in SUD treatment preferred.
• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, trauma, and brain development a plus.
• Ability to pass agency background screenings and tests.

Physical Requirements

• Perform manual tasks involving computer systems and office equipment.
• Lift and transport materials up to 25 lbs. for administrative tasks.
