Tire Design Engineer

Job Description

TOYO TIRE NORTH AMERICA MANUFACTURING INC. is seeking a Tire Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Tire Design Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the tire manufacturing process, construction, testing, and performance. Your role will involve introducing new tire lines, maintaining plant specifications, supporting production departments, and applying engineering principles to improve overall tire performance.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue experimental tire building specifications.
• Conduct experimental tire builds and analyze cured tire sections.
• Understand and analyze tire testing methods and failure modes.
• Create and issue production and mass production tire building specifications.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate tire builds and testing.
• Conduct competitor tire analysis and work with Material Design Engineers.
• Write reports and effectively communicate information to peers and management.

Education and Experience

Engineering degree preferably in Mechanical with one to two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
