Job Description

Join Marion County Health and Human Services Public Health Division as a Bilingual Public Health Worker 3 - Clinical Preventive Services. In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including monolingual Marshallese/Chuukese-speaking clients, assisting in TB control programs and providing clinical services. You will play a vital role in promoting public health and ensuring the well-being of the Marion County community through outreach, education, testing, and case management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations of tuberculosis cases and provide clinical services to clients.
  • Assist with TB control programs, contact tracing, and Directly Observed Therapy.
  • Perform TB testing and phlebotomy, maintain client records, and provide health education.
  • Collaborate with the TB team, Public Health Nurse, and Health Officer on public health initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • Fluent bilingual Marshallese/Chuukese/English skills required.
  • Experience in community health, medical, mental health, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and advocacy skills.
