Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Doppelmayr USA Inc is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing electrical control system schematics, specifying power distributions, and collaborating with international colleagues. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, providing support to Customer Service, and maintaining communication with global offices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement control circuits in compliance with industry standards.
• Support troubleshooting and resources for Customer Service.
• Establish efficient communication with global offices.
• Ensure quality objectives are met.
• Engage in electrical project engineering activities.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in PLC and relay logic control system design.
• Clear understanding of AC and DC power, control circuitry, and electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI software integration.
• Experience in safety PLC and standard PLC programming.
• Proficiency in InterCAD, E-Plan, or equivalent CAD software.
• Familiarity with power distribution systems.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work at heights in varied environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hydraulic system controls.
• Ability to analyze complex control circuits for safety.
• Familiarity with fiberoptic cabling.
• Leadership and management skills.

Education and Experience

• BSEE or alternative engineering discipline required.
• 0-5 years of experience, preferably in control systems engineering.
