Merchandise Handler - No Weekends

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position plays a crucial role in merchandise movement, including storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. The Merchandise Handler will lead by example and provide training to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Move and condense merchandise to optimize space usage.
• Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and storage.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise, including unloading, inspecting, and packaging.
• Provide training to other employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professionalism and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent damage to equipment and merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge; POS experience is a plus.
