Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently hiring full-time Merchandise Handlers with opportunities for overtime. Join our team to be a part of merchandise movement activities, utilizing forklift operations and providing support to ensure efficient product storage and distribution.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

• Perform merchandise movement tasks like storage, relocation, and distribution.
• Lead by example and provide training to team members.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Efficiently move merchandise within locations for space optimization.
• Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, and customer pickup.
• Utilize point of sale (POS) system for managing merchandise flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or in progress).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools/hardware assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
• Previous experience in forklift operations and POS systems is advantageous.
