Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time AP Biology Teacher to join our faculty at Match Education for the 2024-2025 school year. Located in Boston, MA, our high school offers a diverse and inclusive community where you can make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal growth. As an AP Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching classes, planning engaging lessons, maintaining high expectations, participating in professional development, and contributing to the school community.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to two high school AP Biology classes.
- Plan daily lessons with support from the science department leadership.
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students.
- Participate actively in coaching and professional development programs.
- Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time.
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the school community.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience, preferably in an urban education setting.
- Hold a valid license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Belief in all students' potential for success.
