Resident Monitor/Security (Part-time Weekend shifts) Glover House

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Monitor/Security for part-time weekend shifts at Glover House, a program by Wisconsin Community Services. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and monitoring adult male ex-offenders in a correctional residential setting and the community. Your duties will include maintaining accountability of residents, ensuring safety and security compliance, conducting surveillance checks, preparing reports, and enforcing program rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor residents in various facility areas.
• Instruct residents on facility rules and property use.
• Enforce house rules and instill good habits in residents.
• Perform security checks and surveillance activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings.
• Assist with resident intake, orientation, and community monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in corrections or related fields preferred.
• Clear Caregiver and Background checks, physical exam, and drug screen.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations and work with diverse populations.
• Basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

This role involves working in an adult correctional halfway house setting, operating 24/7.

Physical Demands

Must be mobile throughout the facility, able to climb stairs, sit for extended periods, and provide First Aid and CPR.
