Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently hiring Warehouse Associates to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently handling merchandise movement, ensuring accurate inventory management, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe working environment. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products within the warehouse. Additionally, you will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and contribute to maintaining a well-organized facility.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Handle merchandise movement efficiently to maximize space.
• Manage product flow using the point of sale system.
• Ensure accuracy on customer orders and system records.
• Conduct training sessions for other employees.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies and practices to prevent damage to equipment and merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
