Warehouse Team Member

Job Description

Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Warehouse Team Member! We are currently hiring warehouse workers with forklift operations experience for full-time positions. This role involves storing, moving, and distributing merchandise while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position focuses on merchandise movement, including space efficiency, managing inventory flow, and providing some training to other team members. You will play a key role in maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Move and condense merchandise to optimize space.
• Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize POS system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive and inspect incoming merchandise; prepare outgoing orders.
• Provide training and lead by example for other team members.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to prevent damage and maintain a safe workplace.
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently pursuing).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with forklift operations and POS systems is desirable.
