Job Description
Red River Commodities is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain the performance of all automated and robotic equipment in our Horace facility. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Production Management and Plant Maintenance teams to optimize facility performance through electronic controls, automation, and robotics. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, implementing corrective actions, and developing automation improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and quality. Additionally, you will play a vital role in training operators on automation systems and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree in a relevant field and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Optimize facility performance through electronic controls, automation, and robotics.
- Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for PLCS, robotics, VFDs, and automation systems.
- Train operators on automation systems and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Develop automation improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- 2-year technical degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in PLC maintenance or programming.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge/experience with Standard Operating Procedure and Quality Management Systems.
