Counter Sales

Job Description

We are looking for a Counter Sales representative to join our team at Badger Building Center. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting them with their product selection for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer customers' inquiries and help them choose the right products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of potential clients.
• Offer small project estimates and upsell additional products.
• Process orders, schedule deliveries, and assist with payments and returns.
• Collaborate with the sales team on larger quotes and estimates.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock shelves with merchandise.
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
• Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members.
• Handle customer challenges and provide assistance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of available products, blueprint reading, and construction methods.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to sales.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of building materials experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must engage with customers actively and lift up to 25+ lbs occasionally.
• Regular standing, walking, with occasional sitting and stair climbing.
• Hands-on involvement with products.

Compensation

Hourly Wage: $11.8 - $18.8
