Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 position providing physical and Level II technical support to customers. Responsibilities include prompt issue resolution, adherence to procedures, maintaining data center standards, and supporting various installations.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain professionalism in all data center duties.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues following procedures.
- Support 24/7 operations, working any shift in a 24x7x365 environment.
- Assist with physical and logical installations of services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
- Operate Badge Access Security System and manage cabling inventory.
- Execute shipping/receiving tasks for Customers and Flexential.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Preferably 1 year experience in IT support environment.
- AA, BS, or High School Diploma required.
- Network +, Security +, CCNA desired; Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Comfort working in cold temperatures and lifting heavy objects.
- Aptitude for handling pallet jacks and installing cabling.
