Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 role focused on providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. Along with a strong grasp of Facilities infrastructure and Windows operating systems, the candidate is expected to troubleshoot technical issues, adhere to data center policies, and assist in installations of services.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Resolve Facility and customer issues promptly.
- Follow data center policies and procedures.
- Provide local access for vendors and perform remote hands work.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding areas.
- Process shipping/receiving and manage Badge Access Security System.
- Assist with cabling, infrastructure maintenance, and inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for customer service.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in IT Support environment.
- Related certifications like Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP/MCSA are advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights and in cold environments.
- Capability to handle heavy objects, install cabling, and maneuver equipment.
Hourly Pay Range
The estimated hourly pay range for this position is $19.33 - $22.67 based on experience and qualifications.
