Laboratory Animal Resources Technician

Job Description

AmplifyBio, LLC is currently seeking a Laboratory Animal Research Technician to join our innovative team. As a Laboratory Animal Research Technician, you will work alongside highly skilled scientists and technicians in state-of-the-art facilities to support our clients' preclinical research programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform animal husbandry, animal care, data collection, and routine laboratory procedures with precision.
• Comply with regulations, SOPs, and health and safety requirements.
• Record and review data for accuracy, maintain laboratory equipment, and conduct experimental procedures.
• Communicate research procedures and results effectively within the team.
• Assist in various laboratory activities, including animal care, facility maintenance, and research support.
• Train and supervise junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in biology, chemistry, RVT, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory or animal care environment with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Desire to be part of a diverse and inclusive work environment focused on innovation and excellence.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or animal care environment.
• Proficiency in animal husbandry, medication administration, and surgical assistance.
• Experience in diverse species handling and care.
