Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist to join the team at Johnson Regional Medical Center. As a full-time employee working weekend evenings and overnights, you will play a crucial role in processing laboratory specimens, conducting tests, and ensuring accurate reporting of results across various areas of the clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity, moderate complexity, and waived testing in areas including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and more.
• Manage inventory and ordering of supplies for multiple laboratory sections.
• Maintain quality control practices and adhere to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager and clinical staff to optimize patient care and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology OR an Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certification in Medical Technology preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, additional languages a plus.
• Proficient in operating laboratory equipment such as microscopes, analyzers, and more.

Physical Demands

• Normal hospital environment with exposure to biological, chemical, and mechanical hazards.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and occasional bending required.

• Compliance with safety-sensitive position criteria as per Arkansas Constitution.
• Adherence to regulatory standards and ethical business practices.
