General Job Description:

Dogwood Industries is looking for a proactive Procurement Manager with a background in electrical and mechanical equipment purchasing. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, generating RFQs, and issuing precise Purchase Orders while liaising with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement schedules aligned with production timelines
• Negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and terms
• Research and vet new products and suppliers
• Be the subject matter expert for technically intricate products
• Procure materials as per project requirements
• Ensure timely expedited delivery of materials
• Collaborate with project teams and report on budget analysis
• Address supply chain discrepancies and oversee vendor payments
• Supervise procurement team operations
• Additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Team management experience
• Proven negotiation skills with vendors
• Strong organizational abilities
• Detail-oriented with technical proficiency
• Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, and Adobe applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction or related field OR 4+ years procurement experience in construction
• Demonstrated success in procurement operations

Work Environment:

This role involves moderate physical activity in office and manufacturing environments, including occasional site visits.

Compensation:

$85,000 - $90,000 annually with benefits package
