Job Description
The University of Vermont Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedics unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to orthopedic patients in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. From trauma cases to total hip & knee replacements, you will play a crucial role in the post-operative care of our patients.
Unit Description
Our 32-bed post-operative unit offers state-of-the-art facilities with stunning views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain. Equipped with ceiling lifts and ample space, our rooms provide patients with a comfortable environment for recovery and therapy. You will work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support.
Responsibilities
- Care for a mixed population of orthopedic patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in Orthopedic specific certifications to enhance professional growth.
- Contribute to the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).
Requirements
- Valid RN license.
- Prior experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Desire to provide compassionate care to patients.
