Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Cargill is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our protein and salt business in Nebraska City, NE. This position offers competitive compensation and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production machinery using hand tools.
• Ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Respond to maintenance-related radio calls from other departments.
• Communicate with other departments and maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass down of maintenance-related issues.
• Document daily work assigned on paper and in the maintenance management system (SAP).
• Troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision and communicate the status to maintenance management and other departments.
• Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures in documenting what is issued out.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written).
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and operate and set up machines using manuals.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use basic hand tools and operate a forklift and other motorized equipment.
